Was it a happy Eid for you?
After recovering from my khat session, I’ve now had a couple of days to reflect back on the last couple of days.
I’ve been in the UK for 8 years now and every single year without fail there is a dispute on what day is EID. This Imam says it’s going to be tomorrow the other masjid is doing it the day after; Saudi is having it tomorrow but Egypt the next day after. No one knows who to follow or what to do.
It kind of kills the whole spirit and defies the purpose of Eid as you could be celebrating whilst some friends, family or neighbours are still fasting. It’s just one of those things that really bug me.

I just fast/Eid-ize based on the UAE. Otherwise there's no end to the confusion!
