Missing Little M
This is going to be a post about our lovely daughter little M.
Little M is 19 months old – I know this is a cliché` used over and over again but were has the last 19 months gone? Anyways back to little M who knows how to get what she wants these days. I must admit we got her into this habit of sleeping in our bed then moving her to her cot when she’s asleep. Now the problems occurred when she woke up in the middle of night. Poor baby used to probably wake thinking hang on where am I/what am I doing here I was asleep on the bed. Hmm mummy and daddy look comfy I know what I’ll do I’ll moan moan moan cry cry cry until I wake them up so they can come and grab me and we did. She’d be asleep before her head hits the mattress.
Now we finally managed to get her to sleep in her cot (thanks to Mummy) and she sleeps straight through with her Iggle Piggle blanket. So you’d think it’d be sheer bliss and we can get some proper sleep until the next baby is due(in April).
But I actually miss my daughter head-butting my nose in the middle of my sleep, stroking my arm and laying her foot arrest on mine. Sometimes she cuddles up to me and pushes me right to edge of my side of the bed other times she used to wake me up in the cutest of ways - I’d be asleep and I’ll wake up with her on top me, she’d be laying her face onto mine, her cheek on mine. How cute is that?
Man Now I miss her sleeping by our side. I think I need to see if there’s space in her cot, I might just be able to squeeze in.

I agree she's at a cute age. We're soaking up as much as we can get at the moment saving for the later stages ;)
My 3yrs old daughter reached a stage where she basically took over my side of the bed.. last night, she didn't feel like having me sleeping there, kicked me out of bed and i spent the night on the couch outside..

I gather you slept well last night then ;) its funny how the little ones takeover our lives (& beds in our case) but I wouldn't have it any other way.
oh yeah :) She did it again last night .. but in her sleep this time. She elbowed her way and dominated my pillow ... next thing. I was out of the bedroom again :)
